We are looking for the researcher-entomologist and the editor in chief of a scientific journal European Journal of Entomology at the Institute of Entomology (http://www.entu.cas.cz/en/homepage/), Biology Centre of the Czech Academy of Sciences, Czech Republic.

The successful candidate will conduct his own research within the broad field of Entomology and, at the same, work as the editor in chief in the European Journal of Entomology (https://www.eje.cz/) published by the Institute of Entomology.

Desired skills and experience:

• PhD in entomology, zoology, ecology, physiology or related fields,
• Proven ability to pursue scientifically challenging questions, high motivation and a vision for creative research,
• Strong publication record (commensurate with the career stage),
• Broad overview in the field of entomology,
• Experience with editorial work in scientific journal,
• Good computer skills (mainly text and graphics editors),
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Foreign applicants will receive assistance with relocation to the Czech Republic. The Institute can also help secure non-commercial accommodation on the joint campus of the Biology Centre and the University.
